Light-sensitive elements of the body absorb the light of a specific wavelength that is penetrating and reaches the targeted tissue that is damaged. It is a process that is similar to photosynthesis in plants. The absorbed light gets converted to usable energy, which leads to a reduction of inflammation, pain relief, enhanced immune response, and on the whole, the healing time also shortens due metabolism that is more efficient.

Laser /LED Probes are applied with specific dose and frequency based on guidelines and according to the medical condition and location of the problem. When they are applied over the problem area pain or heat is not felt. Sometimes a very mild warmth may be felt.

We suggest plenty of fluids before and after the session to reduce the mentioned effects.

To date, there have been no reports of mutation as a result of low-level laser irradiation in research articles published.

There are some contraindications (not suitable) to the use of LLLT, these include:

• Irradiation of the abdomen for pregnant patients
• When malignant tumors are located in a target area for application.
• Light sensitive patients – pulsed light may initiate a seizure for some epilepsy patients, though no incident has been reported if continuous or invisible beams of light are applied.

Healthy tissue also absorbs light. Damaged or stressed tissue, however, is associated with a lower absorption threshold. That is why they are more likely to receive the benefit of LLLT.

Yes, the patient is encouraged to continue their usual medications including ay pain medications. After the pain alleviation, the patient may be considering lowering the dose of pain medications or stopping them after consulting the doctor.
